Austin Snell releases his new single “Heavy Metal“ via River House Artists/Warner Music Nashville. Co-written by Danny Majic (Flo Rida, G-Eazy), Tyler Chambers (Muscadine Bloodline) and Austin Gee, the song is a gritty, hard-hitting ode to leaving heartbreak in the rearview mirror.
Austin on the new single: “Nashville has no shortage of incredible writers, and ‘Heavy Metal’ is proof of that. The lyrics cut deep, and they capture that weight we all carry around when life just feels heavy. I can’t wait to share it with everyone, and I hope it hits people the same way it hit me — right in the chest.”
“Heavy Metal” follows the remix of “Muddy Water Rockstar” feat. Brantley Gilbert that just released last week. Austin is currently on the road opening for Brantley’s The Tattoos Tour in support of his 2024 full-length debut album Still Bleeding. Blending country, rock and hip hop, the album was featured at American Songwriter, MusicRow and The Tennessean, who called him “an artist worth watching.”
Born in Georgia and a veteran of the U.S. Airforce, hard rock and country radio formed the bedrock of Austin’s musical education. Dubbing his sound “grunge country,” he fuses hard-rocking sonic aggression with the deep-feeling confessions of a country troubadour. His gritty breakout single “Excuse the Mess” gathered 1 million streams in its first week of independent release, and now just two years after arriving in Nashville, the emerging hitmaker boasts 338+ million global career streams and a fanatical fanbase.
